Me and my girlfriend have relocated to a new house in the area and are currently renovating the property. As the house is from the 1860's every house on our row has a different name cut into a stone facing the pavement. The streets around here and the local pub are named after The Duke of Wellington and our Victorian style house, being the first in the row, has 'Duke Villa' cut into its stone.

I thought it would be fitting to start using the name for my new design studio and to create a unique brand while I update the Allport Design brand.

The logo idea itself came to me on day one of brainstorming. One of the first images I get when thinking about with the Duke is the Duke memorial with its very iconic shape, symmetrical form and status. It is very simple, clean and adaptable.
